WP Toolkit

A new tool called WP Toolkit has been added to WaveCom’s web hosting service. It’s a powerful and intuitive solution for managing WordPress websites. WP Toolkit makes it easy to install, manage, and secure WordPress sites, significantly reducing manual work. Automated updates and backups help ensure your site remains stable and secure.

In addition, WP Toolkit offers a wide range of security features and optimization tools that follow best practices and actually work. There are around 20 different security measures that can be enabled—or disabled—with just one click. At a time when website hacks are at an all-time high, this is a very welcome toolbox you can truly rely on.

One particularly useful feature is the ability to test updates. WP Toolkit can automatically clone your WordPress site and apply the updates to the clone first. It then tests the site to ensure nothing breaks. Only after successful testing do you apply the same updates to the live site, giving you peace of mind that everything will work as expected.

There’s also a smart option to enable automatic updates not for all plugins and themes, but only for selected ones. This is especially helpful if your site uses a finicky plugin or theme that may not handle auto-updates well. Without this feature, you'd have to disable automatic updates entirely.

The Integrity Check feature compares your WordPress files with the originals, making it easy to spot any unauthorized changes that may have occurred due to hacking.
