WaveCom raises the bar for information security to new heights with Estonia's first ISO/IEC 27017 certification
Estonia's leading cloud service provider, WaveCom, has successfully completed the ISO 9001 and 27001 standard renewal process this fall. Additionally, WaveCom has become the first in Estonia to obtain the ISO/IEC 27017 certification. This additional certification affirms the company's commitment to offering services that comply with high information security standards.

ISO 27001 is an internationally recognized standard addressing the requirements of information security management systems. It enables organizations to establish a structured and systematic approach to information security, safeguarding data integrity and availability. WaveCom has been certifying its systems and services since 2018.
The ISO/IEC 27017 certificate, the first of its kind issued to WaveCom in Estonia, focuses on the security of cloud services and complements the ISO/IEC 27001 standard with specific guidelines and recommendations for cloud services. This additional certification provides clients with added confidence in the security and availability of WaveCom's cloud services.
"We are proud to have achieved the ISO/IEC 27017 certification, thereby confirming our commitment to providing top-tier cloud services that adhere to international standards," said Kristian Liivak, CEO of AS WaveCom. "This certificate is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team in prioritizing and ensuring data protection and security."
The ISO/IEC 27017 certification process included a thorough audit, during which WaveCom demonstrated its capability to ensure a high level of security for cloud services in accordance with the standard's requirements.
This achievement reaffirms WaveCom's leadership in the Estonian data center and cloud services landscape and showcases the company's dedication to providing clients with the highest-security cloud services.
