HPE Synergy Platform - A New Level in Cloud Services
HPE Synergy brings next-generation computing power, a variety of storage capabilities and future-proof network connections to a single integrated management platform.
The IT sector is currently under constant pressure to provide faster, more adaptive cloud services infrastructure to applications, developers and businesses. Better availability, scalability and security are needed. This demand is forcing cloud service providers to find increasingly efficient and innovative solutions. By the end of 2021, WaveCom's cloud services have moved to the enterprise-level composable platform by HPE Synergy. WaveCom has invested in the HPE Synergy platform to provide even better reliability for business and time-critical services. Hardware and software support from HPE Enterprise Solutions vendor to the service provider provides additional assurance to the customer that their applications are maintained to the highest standards.
In the composable infrastructure the computing, storage and network resources are fluid. This feature allows resources to be dynamically redirected to different clusters through a web-based software interface or API.
With software-based intelligence, HPE Synergy uses automation to reduce the complexity and time required for day-to-day operations, thereby increasing productivity and reducing costs. For example, one VMware ESX host server is set up within two hours, during which the default settings are automatically configured, the firmware is updated, and the VMware ESX is installed with the necessary software updates. Finally, the ESX settings are made and the server is clustered.
To get the most out of the Synergy platform, virtual connect and network fabric are used to connect multiple Synergy server boxes to a larger network. This in turn allows network traffic to be left in the synegry platform, offering higher speeds per 80Gb server and lower latency. The updated platform uses Xeon Gold 6142 CPUs, which offer significantly more cores per server than previous Gold 6116 CPUs. With the transition to the HPE Synegry platform, our Fiber Channel storage network will also be renewed. The current 16Gbit Brocade switches will be replaced by the new generation Brocade 32 / 64Gb models, which, combined with our new NVME Gen 4 storage, offer unrivaled performance.
The transition to newer technology has significantly improved availability and the use of electricity and cooling.
